The book’s unique progressive structure divides the songs into four sections:

- 15 Intermediate Songs introducing barre chords and more complex strumming/picking, e.g., ‘In My Life’ by The Beatles. Perfect for the improving player.
- 15 Intermediate ‘Plus’ Songs which include more difficult chords, strumming, riffs and fingerpicking techniques, e.g., ‘Pinball Wizard’ by The Who. The next level!
- 5 fully tabbed out note-for-note transcriptions including Chuck Berry’s ‘Johnny B. Goode’ and ‘Cause We’ve Ended As Lovers’ by Jeff Beck. Pro-level songs to work your way up to!
All the songs feature full lyrics and chords, with a written lesson and playing advice. Chord boxes, strumming/fingerpicking patterns and sections of TAB are used as necessary to show specific detail. There’s even a handy chord library to show basic open chords and barre chord grips.
Many songs in the book are supported by a free-to-access video tutorials on JustinGuitar.com, so there’s everything you need to learn the songs and develop your skills. This might just be the greatest pop songbook ever published!
