Sam was born and grew up in Hong Kong. He devoted himself to video production and entered Queensland University of Technology to further his studies. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Film/TV production, Sam worked in the TV commercial and advertising industry. Sam has widened his scope to include music and is a director at Binary Music. In his down time, Sam plays drums and is an avid sports fan, especially soccer!

Avis Studied at The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts – Majoring in Technical Arts, including working as a production assistant for various Musical Theatre Performances, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Phantom of the Opera, and Guys and Dolls.

 Her studies offered various creative opportunities and fuelled her lifelong love of all things creative.

Avis loves piano, plays drums with her husband Sam, and is learning Guitar, and Ukulele with our Dukes of Uke classes on Thursday Mornings.

Avis and Sam have two lovely daughters, Valerie and Vivien, who each play a variety of instruments including violin, ukulele, guitar, clarinet, piano, and more.

Kyrin is a guitar and effects specialist here at Binary Music and has performed and recorded original music with rock bands. He has a wealth of information to share about guitars, amps, pedals, strings and accessories. With his strong interest in visual media you can see some of his input in Binary Music advertising and signage in store. Kyrin is the recipient of a Rotary Excellence in Customer Service Award and whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting out, you’ll always get the advice you need.

Dylan Reavey is part of our retail team at Binary Music, specialising in guitar, and also teaches guitar at the Studio. Dylan recently achieved his Bachelor of Music in Jazz from Griffith University, and is also an Associate Artist for Sweden’s Strandberg guitars. Dylan is a prolific composer and videographer and winner of the prestigious Music Radar Guitarist of the Year 2019 award at the London Guitar Show. You can catch him performing with his jazz band at local venues like the Doo-Bop Bar in Brisbane.
