Binary Music wishes all our customers and general community all the best through the current Coronavirus pandemic. We are still open for business both in-store and on-line and we have taken every precaution to make your shopping experience as safe as possible. We are pleased to say all our services both on-line and in-store are operating normally.
We are also advising there has been a drop in the Australian dollar and therefore a subsequent price rise may occur on some of our imported brands. Please check to confirm current pricing on items in stock.
Our thoughts go out to our many professional music industry colleagues both locally and farther afield who are suffering loss of income during this time. From all of us here at Binary Music we are hoping for a rapid recovery from this dire situation for everyone.
Open for Business
We are still open for business and have a great selection of instruments, accessories and sheet music in-store. With many people having extra time at home, now would be a good time to learn a new instrument or upgrade your existing one (e.g. harmonica, guitar, ukulele, keyboard).
Our New Protocol:
- Customers are requested to use our hand sanitisers as they enter the store before approaching staff or the front counter. Please ask us before touching or trying any instrument, so we can have it cleaned after use
- We are practising increased sanitising and disinfecting of all surfaces and areas within the store
- We ask customers to adhere to recommended social distancing between staff and customers
Classes and Lessons
Closing down some of the activities we are associated with has been a heart-breaking decision for our organisation, which has always aimed to bring people together with music. We will continue to keep you informed and up-to-date and you can stay connected with us via our social media communities (find us on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube).
Our ukulele classes and guitar lessons will continue as online-only video lessons and classes via the Zoom Cloud Meetings app (see https://zoom.us details here). For the group sessions, please purchase tickets via the Trybooking link which we will provide each week.
For those with extra time on their hands, now would be an ideal time to sign up to our ukulele or guitar club websites, where you can access libraries of song charts and learning resources for a small annual subscription fee.
On-line Orders & Safe Distancing
In the best interests of customers and couriers safe distancing will be implemented when goods are delivered to you. All our carriers are now defaulting deliveries to Authority to Leave and will not be requesting a physical signature from the customer or receiver. The driver will knock or ring the bell, place the goods on the ground and step away. Once the goods are left in a safe area, delivery drivers will do their best to make a note of the location or take a picture as proof of delivery. All of our courier providers are implementing this process including Fastway, Couriers Please, and Australia Post.
We encourage you to have items delivered to a secure location where a responsible adult will be present during normal business hours
We ask for your patience and understanding if you do experience delivery delays in this uncertain period. Binary Music and our courier partners will continue to strive for the best practice possible under the current circumstances.
